Not a very interesting example, to be sure, but I believe the chickadees provided titillation enough. The transition is still going on, and I'm hoping it is not too painful as well. If it weren't for the fries (and the Sausage Egg and Cheese McGriddle), I don't believe I'd every stop at McDonalds again. Gustatorially speaking, you probably haven't missed out that much. Ken Watson worked at Wendy's in high school, and I believe that's the first time I really ate at Wendy's, and I found it to be to my liking, especially the fact that Wendy's always had bacon (on their sandwiches) as one of the menu options. To this day, a stop at Wendy's involves the least post-meal regret of the fast food options. But Wendy's is in trouble because McDonalds has pretty much cornered the market on fast food, and in between McDonalds and the rise of "gourmet" burger places like Five Guys and In-N-Out and Steak and Shake, Wendy's doesn't have a lot to distinguish itself.
